King Companies: The “Go To” Resource for Third-Party Logistics

At King Companies, we handle household goods moves, office moves and corporate relocations, but did you know that we also provide third-party logistics services?

Leveraging state-of-the-art transportation and warehousing technologies and resources, King Logistics assists businesses of all sizes in moving assets or commodities through the supply chain. Whether you are looking for a long-term third-party logistics provider, or a short-term solution for getting products from your warehouse to the marketplace, King Logistics is your “go-to” resource.

One of the key benefits of outsourcing your logistics to a third-party provider such as King Logistics is our ability to provide your organization with the flexibility needed to respond quickly to changes in the marketplace. For example, depending on the scope of your project and the needs of your customers, our extensive network of resources enables us to leverage van lines, common and contract carriers, air and ocean forwarders, and/or cargo airlines to quickly and efficiently move commodities including:

High value products: Electronic and medical equipment, ATMs, data center equipment
Retail: Displays, point-of-sale, fixtures, store openings and closings
Hospitality, restaurants, assisted living, healthcare: Furniture, fixtures and equipment
Alternative energy: Wind power, solar requiring special handling and project management

Another benefit of partnering with King Logistics is our central nerve center that ensures your products get to market, both quickly and efficiently. Whether we are providing complete supply chain management as your products move from manufacturing to warehousing to distribution, or simply last-mile support, we use advanced, proprietary tools including bar coding, online order fulfillment and visibility, user-customized reporting and real-time inventory status to control your commodities from the moment they enter our system through the time they are delivered to their destination.

Furthermore, King Logistics also provides premium warehouse space, stretching from coast to coast, that can accommodate everything from a single pallet to up to 30,000 square feet of assets and commodities. You can select from more than 250 locations across the United States, all located within 50 miles of significant population centers including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and New York City.

King Companies’ warehousing services include, but are not limited to, the following:

Merge-In Transit: Collecting multiple shipments from multiple origins into a single shipment requiring local or interstate delivery.
Consolidation or aggregation: Local pickup of multiple LTL shipments combined together into a full truckload to one or multiple destinations (pooling)
Storage: Holding product as a general storage lot until we receive your shipment instructions.
Asset control and management: Holding assets and tracking individual items at the part, model or serial number level.
Order fulfillment: Picking products from on-hand inventory to fill and order; then shipping that order to your location or the location of your customer.
Kitting: Re-packaging on-hand items according to specific bill of materials that has its own part, model or stocking number.
Product Configuration: Mounting, interfacing, connecting or installing several of your products together to create a new model or stocking number.
Last mile deliveries, or hold-for-installer/GC pickup.

King Companies is an agent of United Van Lines, a UniGroup Company. Based in St. Louis, UniGroup, Inc. is among the nation’s largest privately owned firms with consolidated revenue of $1.7 billion. UniGroup has a “brick and mortar” network of more than 1,300 service centers, with more than 700 located in the U.S. The company operates in 146 countries, and in all of the world’s major centers of commerce.

We hope that you will consider us as your “go-to” resource for your third-party logistics needs. To learn more about our logistics services, visit www.kinglogisticsusa.
