Countdown to Your Best Move
King Relocation’s tried-and-true move process will make your next move as smooth and simple as possible. We begin working with you four weeks in advance to help you plan and organize, and support your every need through moving and delivery. Below is a detailed outline of how to make your next move the best you’ll ever make.
Four Weeks In Advance
- • Make reservations with moving company
- • Prune your possessions (garage sale, charity donations, dumpster)
- • Obtain boxes and moving supplies
- • Start packing
- • Notify businesses, organizations, and subscriptions of address change
- • Request appliance owner’s manuals at your new home
Two Weeks In Advance
- • Prepare a kit for your last clean-up
- • Label boxes (include destination and room on top and sides)
- • Schedule utility disconnection and connections at new residence
- • Make travel plans and arrange hotel stay if required
- • Arrange to move pets
Service your car for the trip
One Week In Advance
- • Mail change-of-address forms
- • Cancel newspaper
- • Clean appliances
- • Reserve building elevator for dates of pick-up/delivery
- • Forward prescriptions to new pharmacy

Days In Advance
